Footloose is a musical from 1998 based on the 1984 movie. This production was produced by the University of Melbourne Musical Theatre Association. Main character Ren (Flynn Smeaton) moves to Bomont, a fictional American country town. Dancing has been banned by Reverend Moore (Josh Sumner). Ren fights to bring dancing back to the town and falls in love with the Reverend’s daughter Ariel (Rachel Dwyer).
